Christians and conspiracy theories

I see that conspiracy theories are overtaking the Christian community.

Conspiracies that promise ‘enlightenment’ and ‘illumination’.
But often this kind of awakening is to do with understanding and gaining power in earthly kingdoms.

Jesus us the only true light and His kingdom is not if this world.

As Christians lets not be distracted. Remain in Him. Don’t wander from the path.

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way;walk in it.” - Isaiah 30:21

Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do [everything] in accordance with the entire law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper andbe successful wherever you go. - Joshua 1:7

Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil. - Proverbs 4:27

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. - Matthew 7:13-14

Beware of knowledge that leads to pride.

Knowledge is not the same as wisdom.

Knowledge can lead to pride and power. Wisdom always leads to humility and love.

Saint John of the Cross writes  that in the evening of Life we will be judged by Love alone.

Love is the most important commandment. Jesus says:

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” - Matthew 22:34-40

Lucifer was an angel of ‘light’ but his enlightenment was a false enlightenment.
The fruit of the fall in Eden was from the tree of ‘knowledge’ of good and evil.

We are living in perilous times. So many things seem to seek to siphon off  our energy and focus.

We are not to turn to the right or the left but continue along the narrow way of self giving love that Jesus showed us with His life.

We should be keeping our oil lamps burning by focusing on Jesus, the Gospels and the Commandments right now especially the first and greatest commandment. To love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and love our neighbour as ourselves.

We must pray for His Grace to help us learn how to love as He loved.
This is much more important than getting distracted by having our energy and strength diverted into conspiracy theories that only further division and suspicion between people. Knowledge is not wisdom. Don’t get stuck down a rabbit hole.

‘But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.’
Only Faith Hope and Love remain and the greatest of these is love.’ - 1Corinthians 13

Jesus will guard our hearts if we are His.
Listen to His voice.

Too many Christians are seduced by conspiracy theories.
In the parable of the Good Samaritan Jesus showed that between the ones with right doctrine ( the scribe and the Pharisee ) and the one with wrong doctrine ( the Samaritan) it was the one with wrong doctrine who followed His Father’s commandment to love who was a true neighbour. The Pharisees  knew the correct laws and doctrines but failed to recognise Jesus, who was the fulfilment of them.

To ‘be saved’ by ‘knowing’ is the dangerous heresy of gnostism.

We are God’s precious children. We are to only listen to and follow our Father. The Good Shepherd who leads us to still waters and green pastures. Who marks the boundary lines for us. We are to be simple and trusting that His wisdom and His Word are all the food we need.

Our only work, as Christians is to fall in love with and believe with all our being in the truth of the Gospel, repent of our sins every day in all the ways we fall short of His goodness and mercy, and in thankfulness and humility for His Grace upon our lives love Him ever more and love our neighbour as ourselves.
To do this we surrender our small lives to Him and His Spirit will begin and one day complete the work of sanctification within us. We can’t do the work ourselves, only abandon ourselves to the one who can.

This is just the way I see things but I am flawed as any human.
I urge you to read the Bible and pray rather than following other flawed humans.
Ask Him. Listen to Him. Not me, not other people, not even yourself.
Go to God and let all the other voices and the noises of the world be stilled.

Again, what I write in the next paragraph is just the way I see it and I’m flawed so don’t take my word for it but I believe
conspiracy theories ‘wake’ people up to occultism, esoteric symbolism and the heresy of gnostism. I don’t believe this is accidental.

Something  that concerns me is that on much christian social media, there often seems to be more energy given to Satan’s plans than God’s plan. By that I mean more attention is given to conspiracy theories, false prophets, evil etc... than given to seeking, worshipping and loving God and neighbour. Loving God and neighbour is our most powerful witness to the saving grace of Jesus in our lives.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. - Matthew 5:8

Learning about occult practices and occult symbolism is a by product of spending time seeking out false prophets and evil conspiracies and perhaps that’s no accident. I don’t think it’s spiritually healthy to let these ideas and images into our line of vision. Our path is straight and narrow. We shouldn’t turn to the right or left.

I’m just a flawed person trying, failing, and with God’s Grace trying again to follow The Way, TheTruth and The Life who is Jesus. So I’m only speaking from my own experience with these things.
.
If we cling to God as Father He will lead us.

Rather than focus on evil, let's focus on good.

Philippians 4:8 says "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovelywhatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

All we need is pure, simple, childlike faith in Jesus to guard our hearts and minds.
The enemy is full of snares.
But Jesus has overcome.
He is The Good Shepherd. He won’t let His sheep stray. And those that do, He will pursue.
