Political issues close to God’s heart.

"This is the kind of fast day I'm after: to break the chains of injustice, get rid of exploitation in the workplace, free the oppressed, cancel debts. What I'm interested in seeing you do is: sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad, being available to your own families." Isaiah 58 

"He will answer them, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you failed to do one of these things to someone who was being overlooked or ignored, that was me—you failed to do it to me.' Matthew 25 

James 5:1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you.

The whole world seems to be politically polarised at the moment.

Divided and conquered.

I was reading comments under a video about the tragic death of a migrant child whose boat capsized. They were so hate filled. 

We are living in times where people feel no grief or sorrow for the death of children.

.

Human life is sacred at all ages and stages from conception onwards.

To care for children including unborn children means caring for mother’s and families living in destitution and poverty.

.

Along with laws that protect the unborn let’s also minister to people in desperate circumstances with love and support both physical and spiritual such as providing healthcare for all and good public services as well as a church whose arms are open to the widow and orphan, the poor and vulnerable.

Hearts are ultimately transformed not by human laws but by God’s love which is the law above all laws.

Love towards others is the most important policy.

Our only King is our Heavenly Father and our only true home is His Kingdom.
